I’m Sonya, not Sophie, despite the many who assume so because of our beloved bakery’s name. My journey into the enchanting world of baking began in my grandmother Sophie’s kitchen, a place where I discovered not only the art of creating sweet delights but also the deeper lessons of life, love, and the magic of food that unites us all. My grandparents passionately crafted Kentucky Pull Candy, sharing its deliciousness from their very own home. Driven by a desire to honor their legacy, I set out to continue this cherished tradition, and thus, Sophie’s Cottage Bakery was joyously born in our home.
